To declare a sociology minor, students must contact the Sociology Academic Advisor, Kathy Lou, at klou@uga.edu or call 706-542-3192. To meet the requirements for the minor, students must take 18 hours of coursework that meet the requirements below: SOCI 1101 Introductory Sociology (3 hours) Electives (15 hours, 9 hours of which are upper-division-i.e., 3000-level or higher) No more than six (6) hours of transfer credit can be used to satisfy minor requirements. A grade of "C" or better must be earned in all courses taken to satisfy the minor. Grades of C- or lower will not count toward the minor.
